Seattle

Last pictures of our trip to Seattle. We had a great time this day as we were going to a wedding.

it's such a pretty city

We took the Bremerton ferry to Bainbridge. Awesome island-totally awesome.

I like water vehicles.

Trav, me and Emma. Emma didn't appreciate the sun in her face. Neither did I.

We had to wait about 1 1/2 hours in line. Yes it sucked. But they had McDonald's soft serve and birds for Emma to chase. Trav was so wonderful and took Emma everywhere to walk. But it had to eventually end because she didn't want to hold onto daddy's hand- 'sorry chica, that's not an option'.

Isn't she adorable?!! Oma got this dress for her- thanks mom.

More of Seattle's buildings

This was a horrible picture until I got to mess with it on Photoshop. I love that program...*sigh. The fountain is really romantic huh.

Handmade goodies

I bet you have facebook. I do too. And a while back, I was tagged in doing a pay it forward thing. But with creative terms. They were that the first 5 people to comment to that note would get a handmade thing from me. There is no time line though and I can give it whenever I want. I can also make whatever I want- no rules. So, I made my first handmade present. It's to a mom who goes to my church and is wonderful. She is simple and sweet. Just like the earrings I made her. Easy for everyday wear. And with the holidays coming (is it sick I'm already thinking about that?) I'm sure they will match many outfits.

3 blank handmade thank you cards

she actually makes time to nap EVERYDAY! I can learn a lot about her time managment. And with 2 kids too! I thought she could expand and maybe take a bubble bath in the cold winter months.

again with the pampering. you can't get too much of it-ever.

and wrapped up in a candle holder. cat not included ;)

Imagination Center

We went to an Imagination Station in Everett, WA and it was tons of fun. Hope you're ready for lots of pictures. Enjoy!
~oh, and yes my blog changed AGAIN. But really, I think you and I would be bored after a bit if everything stayed the same. Yes?!

Tuesday Treats

I know it's been a while since posting. But we're back and unpacked (I hate unpacking a car), laundry in the process of being cleaned and tonight is our first night just 'us'. We're excited to say the least. But I wanted to post some adventures, well more like excursions, we took while in Seattle with family. Last weeks Tuesday Treats was a blast. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about check out Emma's blog at the side of my screen)
My mom, Emma and I went to Baskin Robins. Finally she could enjoy an ice cream treat with her granddaughter! (She's been graciously sending me gift coupons so Emma can gorge out on ice cream this summer)
If you know me a little bit, you know I love all things cutsie. (new blog title? hmmm.) Well I didn't fall far from the tree. My mom is way more creative than me and loves themed parties, gift baskets and whatever else. So, for our outing she bought Emma an ice cream outfit! There is a tank top with a double scoop, but since it was about 65'F, we opted for a turtleneck. It is supper cute, I hope you can see it in the pictures. If not, take my word for it. Emma's favorite ice cream? Snickers. Mine?...the free kind

Oma and Emma

Emma's thing is feeding herself and she gets...vocal if you don't let her.
Yeah, great new stage.

My mom bought her a ton of jewelry. Including this necklace.
Emma LOVES bracelets and necklaces.

Emma missing her mouth but successfully stuffing her nose of Snickers. Mmmm.

Emma wanting every kind.

Mora

Our outing today was nice and warm-surprisingly. My mom, Emma and I went to get pizza, go on a ferry ride and then get ice cream. Right now Emma is crazy tired ans is zonked out in bed. Lucky. What I wouldn't give to take a warm nap with cozy blankets around me...*sigh
But, I am blogging and since I love that I'm satisfied.
I have to first say that we went to the best ice cream place EVER. Not only were the employees sweet but the sorbet was to die for. I had raspberry and my mom had Lemon Sorbet. AMAZING. Look them up here. They ship too and have gift cards! :)

Frodo

We have been having a great time here. Shopping, eating and watching movies with the family. Overall it’s great. However, sprinkled in between those times are weird images and thoughts. OK, so last night as I was in bed, I closed my eyes and saw horrible/evil faces pop up. Freaky. I opened my eyes up and asked Travis if that ever happened to him. “No” was his response. Great.
But, after some praying they went away. Now, I don’t mean for this to sound ‘preachy’ at all. I want to be understood that I respect you and your experiences. All I have to go off of are my experiences. So my beliefs are based off some of those. Well, those and the bible. Anyhoo, I was amazed that those scary (and they were freaky) faces was not some mask I saw early in the day or from a scary movie. They were faces I have never seen before but they were in my mind. How frustrating!
I know there is an enemy and that he will do everything in his power to hurt, confuse or scare me into thinking that I am nothing but a little skinny 5’4 girly girl who is afraid of Star Trek. (the Star Trek part is true- some of the older episodes. Hehe)
But what I DO know is that I am more than that. The best way I can compare it to is me with a different shadow. There’s me that you see and laugh with. But there is also my shadow-a part of me not easily seen. I know that I have a calling on my life to be a warrior for God and that it will touch and greatly encourage others around me.
And when I see those faces, I know it is an example of how scared I make the enemy.
A also have to admit that I have a love affair with being someone from Lord of the Rings. A fighter and one that brings devastation to my enemies. But no. I realized that I have a different calling than one I ‘romantically’ like. I feel I am called more to be a Sam. I cry every time I see his love and devotion to Frodo.
